Cheo Feliciano, 50th Anniversary

A Tribute concert in New York for the legendary Cheo Feliciano celebrating his 50th anniversary in the business will
be held on June 20th at the WAMU Theater at 8pm.  Presented by Apollo Productions, this special tribute
to one of Salsa's true icons will be one of the hottest concerts of the Summer.  Scheduled to perform and
pay tribute to Cheo will be some of the biggest names in Salsa: Eddie Palmieri, Ismael Miranda, Ruben Blades,
Johnny Pacheco, Roberta Roena, Bobby Valentin, Papo Luca, Jimmy Sabater, Oscar Hernandez, and the
Spanish Harlem Orchestra.

Rick Najera Stars in How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer in Theatres May 16


Comedic Talent Rick Najera Switches Gears for dramatic role in upcoming feature film

known for his boisterous comedic film performances (Ladron Que Roba a Ladron, A Day Without A Mexican, Pledge This!), switches gears this month for his dramatic role as the sensitive, one-handed butcher 'Jose Luis' in 'How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer'. The feature, written and directed by Georgina Riedel, also stars America Ferrera, Steven Bauer and Elizabeth Peña, and is due out in theatres nationwide May 16, 2008.

How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, originally screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, tells the story of three generations of Mexican American women in one family who experience sexual awakenings over the course of a summer in Yuma, AZ. Najera plays the demure love interest of screen veteran Elizabeth Pena in this compelling and heroic role.

their own journeys in a desperate attempt to reunite. Along the way, mother and son
face challenges and obstacles but never lose hope that they will one day be together
again. Riggen's film is not only a heartwarming family story; she also offers subtle commentary
on the much-debated issue of illegal immigration.  Written by
Ligiah Villalobos and directed by Patricia Riggen.
